Under the chairmanship of Dr. Gamar Aldawlah the deputy vice chancellor the scientific research council of the university held its meeting at Martyr/ Ali Gailani compound with all its members. The meeting discussed the initial scientific research calendar , cooperation with other universities in joint scientific research , the spreading of a scientific research culture and the constraints. Dr. Gamar said research must be connected with social responsibility and work excellence and implored staff to publish textbooks. For his part , Dr. Kibir the Dean of quality, evaluation and accreditation pointed the need to form a scientific research council for every faculty . The meeting decided to form a committee to study scientific research situation at the university . The committee members are Dr. Alsamani Mohammad, Dr. Salah Ibrahim, Dr. Widaa Abdallah , Dr. Limya Ali , and Dr. Murtada Younis . Another committee composed of Dr. Salah Ibrahim , Dr. Alnazeer Abdallh , Dr. Murtada Younis , Dr. Alsamani Mohammad , was formed to examine the status of training at the university. Dr. Kibir stated that every faculty is obliged to present a scientific research project within one month time line from the date of the meeting.
