The university aspires to become one of the top universities in Sudan, Arab world, and Africa , recognized globally for its top quality , comprehensive , up to date, academic and professional program founded on originality . It aspires to be the center of research and teaching with the supreme objective of serving of humanity as a whole .

The university has now more than 3000 undergraduate students studying for B.sc and diploma and graduate students.
