Histopathology and Cytology
The Department of Histopathology and Cytology is considered one of the most vital departments within the Faculty of Medical Laboratory Sciences. It specializes in diagnosing diseases by studying structural changes in cells and tissues. The department utilizes Immunohistochemistry, Molecular Techniques, and Enzyme Histochemistry, in addition to Tumor Markers and Histochemistry to assist in disease diagnosis. Furthermore, it plays a key role in the early detection of cancers through the application of Cytology.
