The Faculty of Education at White Nile University, in cooperation with the Primary Education Administration in Rabak Locality, organized the first forum to establish the faculty’s alumni association. The event took place at the Primary Education Office in Rabak Unit, under the patronage of Mr. Ismail Ali Adam, Acting Minister of Education and Guidance for White Nile State and an alumnus of the faculty, alongside several academic and educational leaders, as well as graduates of the Faculty of Education at White Nile University.
The meeting was attended by Professor Mohamed El-Amin Mohamed Yousif Kibr, Dean of the Deanship of Quality, Evaluation, and Accreditation at the university; Dr. Suleiman Mohamed El-Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Education; members of the faculty’s teaching staff; Mr. Adam Yousif, Director of Education in Rabak Locality; Mr. Abdel-Qadir El-Habboub, Director of Education for Rabak Unit; and Mr. Abdullah El-Musa'id, former Director of Rabak Education Unit; in addition to a significant turnout of Faculty of Education alumni working in basic and intermediate education across the locality.
Dr. Suleiman Mohamed El-Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Education, provided a brief overview highlighting the importance of founding the association and its role in strengthening ties between graduates and the faculty. He outlined the vision and objectives of the Faculty of Education Alumni Association, as well as the programs it aims to implement to serve the educational process and the community.
The meeting featured an open discussion among attendees to exchange views and suggestions on the association’s operational mechanisms and future endeavors. Participants emphasized the importance of leveraging alumni expertise to support education and advance teachers' professional development, contributing to overall quality and excellence in educational institutions.
Mr. Ismail Ali Adam, Acting Minister of Education and Guidance for White Nile State, welcomed the initiative to establish the association, praising White Nile University’s proactive efforts to improve state education through continuous teacher training, professional development, and keeping pace with modern teaching methodologies. He declared his full support for the association, affirming that the ministry’s doors remain open to Faculty of Education graduates from White Nile University to participate in implementing educational programs and projects that benefit the state.
The Minister explained that collaboration between the ministry and the university will facilitate various workshops and training programs aimed at enhancing teacher competencies and professional skills, which will positively impact educational quality and student outcomes.
The forum concluded with the official formation of the Faculty of Education Alumni Association following consultations on its leadership structure, organizational framework, and supporting committees.
