The Deanship of Libraries, in collaboration with the Deanship of Quality, Evaluation, and Accreditation at White Nile University, organized an orientation lecture at the university campus in Kosti on the digital transformation of the White Nile University Journal and its achievements in academic publishing and scientific research, in the presence of Professor Mohamed Al-Amin Kabbar.
The lecture targeted faculty members and was presented by Dr. Abdelrazig Mahmoud, Dean of Libraries, who reviewed the university's efforts in developing the journal’s website and connecting it with global research systems to enhance the international visibility of the university's scientific output. The lecture addressed the steps taken to index all issues of the White Nile University Journal within the global Crossref organization and assign Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published research papers and articles from the first issue to the twenty-seventh issue under the university's accredited prefix (10.67135).
Dr. Abdelrazig emphasized the importance of digital identity for research papers and its role in ensuring sustainable access to scientific content and facilitating citation tracking across global databases. He also highlighted the journal's progress in achieving an Arab Impact Factor of 1.6, reflecting the high quality of scientific and research publishing at the university.
In turn, a number of participants praised the continuous support from the university management for digital transformation programs and scientific research development, affirming that this achievement reinforces the university's standing and consolidates its presence in regional and international academic rankings.
