Professor Al-Shadhali Eissa Hamad, Vice-Chancellor of White Nile University, reviewed the progress of academic studies across various faculties and batches while chairing the third Deans' Council meeting for the year 2026. The meeting was attended by Dr. Bishara Eissa Hamad, Academic Affairs Secretary, Dr. Essam El-Din Ahmed Mohamed Badri, University Vice-President, and several council members.

The council discussed a range of agenda items, primarily the academic process. Dr. Bishara Eissa Hamad presented a detailed report outlining the academic status across different faculties and batches, including completed semesters and ongoing courses. The report received praise and appreciation from council members for reflecting consistency and progress in the educational process.

Additionally, the council reviewed a report on the faculty members' portal across concerned colleges and the ongoing efforts to develop electronic services supporting both academic and administrative work.

Professor Al-Shadhali Eissa Hamad confirmed the university’s readiness to establish an integrated center offering electronic application services for Sudanese higher education institutions for the current year. Done in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, this initiative aims to ensure an accurate, smooth admission process and streamline student transfer procedures in line with approved regulations.

The Vice-Chancellor directed the necessity of adopting digital transactions for administrative operations, aligning with rapid technological advances and strengthening the university's digital transformation initiatives. He praised the outstanding performance of college deans in the past period, emphasizing that their efforts positively impacted overall university performance, and expressed his gratitude to all deans and faculty personnel

Dr. Abdelrazig Mahmoud, Dean of Library Affairs, delivered a presentation on the White Nile University Journal following its latest updates, which include indexing in the global organization Crossref and assigning Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published research and articles since its first issue. He also highlighted that the journal achieved an Arab Impact Factor of 1.6, reflecting the quality of scientific and research publishing at the university and elevating its academic standing.

In conclusion, Professor Al-Shadhali Eissa Hamad called upon faculty members and researchers to actively participate in scientific workshops and conferences. He reiterated the university's commitment to supporting scientific research, noting that 2% of university revenues have been allocated to fund and support research activities as a foundational pillar for achieving academic excellence and institutional development.
