Professor El-Shazali Eisa Hamad, Vice-Chancellor of White Nile University, reaffirmed his commitment to providing all necessary requirements to complete the university's digital transformation process, in line with the rapid global advancements in technology and digitalization.
This took place during his chairmanship of the Deanship of Digital Transformation meeting, attended by Dr. Qamar El-Dawla Abdel-Muttalib Ahmed, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University; Dr. Bishara Eisa Hamad, Secretary of Academic Affairs; Dr. Essam El-Din Ahmed Mohamed Badri, University Principal; Dr. Mohamed El-Tayeb Hammadi, Dean of Digital Transformation; alongside several committee members.
The meeting reviewed the strategy of the Deanship of Digital Transformation, which aims to provide students with quick access to educational content, streamline administrative and academic procedures, and enhance electronic communication among the university's various departments and deanships.
In addition, the council recommended completing the electronic payment procedures and establishing network integration between the university and relevant banks. This aims to facilitate online payment processes for students, expand academic data management and storage systems, and safeguard student files and records from admission through graduation.
Furthermore, Professor El-Shazali Eisa Hamad emphasized that the university embarked on implementing its digital transformation program early on. This began with computerizing the human resources system and linking it to the financial management department, alongside digitalizing the electronic admission and registration system, implementing online examinations, generating results electronically, and introducing a biometric system for university staff attendance tracking.
He noted that the university is among the first Sudanese universities to decision-make the establishment of a Deanship for Digital Transformation, based on the directives and decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. He affirmed that the university administration has provided all the necessary equipment and resources to support the Deanship and empower it to lead the university's digital transformation journey.
